Education

2022

Grant Writing Certificate
University of Georgia

Grant writing is utilized by leaders in the nonprofit sector, local government officials, academic scholars, and educational leaders. The certificate program at UGA enhanced my skills and abilities to complete compelling grant applications at the federal, state, corporate, and foundation levels.

2018-2021

Ed.D., Educational Leadership
Tarleton State University

Tarleton State University's Ed.D. program trains scholar-practitioners in the education field, both higher education and K-12 settings. During my doctoral journey, I had the opportunity to lead several research projects resulting in over 5 journal publications, 1 book chapter, and 7 conference presentations. I became knowledgeable on scholarly writing and APA style over the three years in the doctorate program.

2016-2017

M.A., American Studies
University of Alabama

American Studies is an interdisciplinary field that integrates history, sociology, literature, and culture. As both a student and a graduate teaching assistant, I focused my academic attention on sports in American culture. The experiences and lessons learned from this program influenced my doctoral dissertation on Division II athletics.

2013-2015

M.A., Public History
University of North Alabama

The Public History degree at the University of North Alabama trains future leaders in the museum and non-profit sector. It was during my training at UNA where I gained a passion for grant writing and 501(c)3 sustainability.

2009-2013

B.A., History
Young Harris College

Young Harris College is a small private liberal-arts institution located in north Georgia. While an undergraduate student, I was a student-athlete (golf) and a member of Kappa Signa fraternity.
